What is County Court #15 ?

County Court #15 is a court of general jurisdiction. It hears both criminal and civil cases. The criminal cases it hears consist of Class A and Class B Misdemeanors. The civil cases it hears consist of cases with an amount in controversy between $500 to $200,000. It also hears appeals from Justice of the Peace court and Texas Workers' Compensation. However, it primarily adjudicates misdemeanor criminal cases. 

Can I vote for the County Court #15 race ?

If you are a registered voter in Bexar County, then you can vote for County Court #15. It is a county wide election. 

Where is County Court #15 located ?

It's located in the Cadena-Reeves Justice Center at 300 Dolorosa, 4th Floor, San Antonio, Texas 78205.  

Why should I vote for you ?

I promise to run an efficient, fair and impartial courtroom. I will bring an even handed temperament to the bench thus allowing every person to have their day in court. I also have personal experience surviving being driven off the road by a drunk driver and thus possess the energy and enthusiasm to work with community resources to make the roads of Bexar County safer for everyone.

My candidacy been endorsed by the Stonewall Democrats of San Antonio, the Bexar County Tejano Democrats, the Bexar County Young Tejano Democrats, the Bexar County Young Democrats, former State Senator Leticia Van De Putte, State Representative Ina Minjarez and former CEO of the San Antonio Area Foundation Dennis Noll.

What is the difference between a general election and a primary election ?

A primary election is an election held on March 6, 2018 by both major political parties to determine who their candidates will be in the general election on November 6, 2018.  In the primary election, you can only vote in one primary, either as a Republican or Democrat. However, in the general election, you can vote for whoever you wish based on qualifications.
